Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.

Late cancellations or missed appointments within 24 hours incur a fee, as this time is reserved specifically for your child.

You may be eligible for a rebate

MEDICARE REBATES

To receive Medicare rebates under the Medicare Better Access initiative, you must obtain a GP Mental Health Care Plan from your doctor, which covers up to 10 sessions per calendar year (usually, initially six sessions, followed by a review for a further four sessions).

If you have a referral from your child's paediatrician or psychiatrist, you may also be eligible for Medicare rebates. This can be further discussed and clarified with your child's treating doctors or with Floreo Child & Family Psychology.

Rebates are processed automatically following full payment of the session fee, with funds typically deposited directly into the bank account Medicare has linked to your Medicare card.

If you are unsure about your eligibility, your GP is the best first point of contact. This can also be discussed when making an enquiry

Important information

Rebate amounts and session limits are set by Medicare and subject to change. Your GP can advise on current eligibility.

If you have private health insurance rebates may apply. Please speak to your provider for your individual cover.

Please note that Medicare rebates and private health cover cannot be claimed on the same invoice.

How ongoing appointments are structured

BOOKING APPROACH

Ongoing therapy appointments are often scheduled in advance, typically aligned with school terms. This provides a reliable rhythm that tends to support the work.

There is no obligation to continue — appointments can always be reviewed based on what feels helpful for your child and family.

Consistency for your child across the term

Parent consultations

Assessment appointments

What matters most is that the pace and structure feel right for your child.
